Overview In this role you join Akuna's Quant team to design and implement production code for trading strategies and pricing models, working alongside researchers, traders, and engineers. You will analyze market signals, refine the codebase, and rapidly prototype improvements to influence trading decisions. The position combines strong programming with math to deepen markets understanding and performance. Responsibilities- Design and develop production code for trading strategies, pricing models, and execution logic
- Analyze and integrate market signals into trading systems
- Improve and extend existing codebase with new solutions
- Collaborate with researchers, traders, and system engineers to optimize performance
Key requirements- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics or related field (Bachelors, Masters, or PhD) completed by employment
- Strong Python programming background
- Experience in object-oriented programming
- Exposure to linear algebra and introductory statistics
- Desire and ability to learn financial markets
- Must be graduating August 2026 or earlier
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. on day one (including OPT/STEM for F-1)
