Overview In this role you lead the Central Microbiology Laboratory and ensure accurate, timely test results. You will perform waived, moderate, and high complexity testing while supporting specimen collection, processing, and reporting. You will actively participate in quality control and ensure compliance with JCAHO, CAP, CLIA, and other standards. You'll contribute to a large hospital network's mission to deliver reliable diagnostic services and patient care. Responsibilities- Provide leadership in the assigned department
- Perform waived, moderate, and high complexity tests as authorized
- Handle specimen collection, processing, test performance, and result reporting
- Participate in quality control activities and adhere to QA/QM standards
- Comply with JCAHO, CAP, CLIA and other applicable agencies
- Carry out supervisor-assigned administrative duties
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or clinical laboratory science from an accredited institution
- one year of laboratory training or experience in a high complexity laboratory setting
- at least two years' experience in a clinical laboratory
- Waived, moderate, and high complexity testing
