Overview

As an Electrical Engineer at Ghafari, you design and analyze electrical systems for new construction and renovations across multiple sectors, ensuring code compliance and coordinated construction documents. You work with project teams to establish scope, budgets, and design approaches, and support submittals, RFIs, and field verification. Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze electrical systems for lighting, power, low voltage, and control systems per codes and standards
  • Develop construction documents for installation and interconnection of architectural, electrical and mechanical components
  • Review project scope, budget, and design approach with Project Manager or client
  • Produce feasibility studies and schematic designs for electrical systems
  • Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver integrated construction documents
  • Conduct site measurements and maintain organized project files
  • Edit and draft project specifications; review submittals for conformance
  • Prepare project cost estimates and respond to RFIs
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • 5+ years related experience in electrical engineering
  • Experience with short-circuit analysis and protective device coordination
  • Familiarity with arc flash software (SKM, ETAP or EasyPower)
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD
  • Experience with Bluebeam, BIM 360 and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Collaborative and cross-disciplinary teamwork
  • NEC and NFPA knowledge
  • Low voltage systems design (fire alarm, telecommunications, data networks, lighting control, power monitoring)
  • Short-circuit analysis and protective device coordination
