Overview In this role you will provide Power Electronics Hardware expertise to Schneider Electric's CTO North America CoE, collaborating with cross-business units to shape innovative power systems. You will lead technical work packages for emerging applications like Power Conversion Units and solid state/hybrid circuit breakers, spanning topology, devices, safety, and standards. You'll drive design, validation, and knowledge sharing, acting as a thought leader with customers and internal teams. Responsibilities- Influence Technical Direction on Power Electronics Hardware and contribute to offers, bricks, platforms, or methods
- Lead or contribute to system design, component selection, and circuit design
- Use simulation tools to model/analyze circuits for performance criteria
- Support testing/validation activities as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product owners, control/firmware engineers, electro-mechanical engineers) for holistic system design
- Develop and deploy strategic Power Electronics expertise across offers, standardization, and partnerships
- Understand customer processes and offers to support technical interactions and issue resolution
- Share knowledge through papers, blogs, or conference materials and contribute to an international technical community
Key requirements- expertise in power electronics, various topologies and design
- 10+ years of experience in power electronics product design engineering
- experience designing LV power conversion systems (
- knowledge or experience with Solid State Circuit Breakers and MV power electronics a plus
- proficiency with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink)
- knowledge of applicable standards
- ability to work autonomously with a leading spirit
- PhD in Electrical Engineering with Power Electronics emphasis preferred (valuable; not strictly required)
