Overview

In this role you lead hydrology and hydraulics projects within Garver's Transportation Team, collaborating with clients and design engineers on federal, state, and municipal projects. You will guide hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and designs, coordinate subconsultants, manage schedules and budgets, and interface with clients to deliver engineering solutions. You'll work across disciplines to ensure technically sound, timely project delivery while advancing Garver's client-focused approach. This role offers impact through shaping water resources studies and construction-ready plans at scale.

Responsibilities
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design for municipal and DOT clients
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary design engineers
  • Engage in project management activities including marketing, subconsultant coordination, scheduling, and plan production oversight
  • Prepare cost estimates and manage client interactions
  • Oversee project tasks and coordination to ensure quality deliverables
Key requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program with emphasis in water resources engineering
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE)
  • Minimum 7 years of relevant consulting/design experience
  • Minimum 2 years of engineering project management experience
  • Advanced knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design
  • Advanced experience with HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS
  • Experience with GIS for H&H modeling, analysis and design
  • Experience with Microstation, InRoads, GEOPAK, OpenRoads or related design software a plus
  • Excellent communication skills
