Overview In this role you lead field engineering for LNG and related energy projects, ensuring safe, on-spec work while coordinating multiple disciplines. Responsibilities- Lead engineering activities in a defined area or supervise a project-wide field engineering team
- Advance team development through CPM, competency assessment, and feedback
- Coordinate constructability reviews with design
- Manage material receiving, warehousing, and material delivery accuracy
- Own quantity take-off, reporting, and forecasting
- Enforce safety and quality standards and ensure equipment is safe to use
- Coordinate system turnover between Construction and Startup and interface with Startup Specialist
- Review and approve inspection test plans and subcontractor submittals
- Oversee subcontractor coordination and adherence to contractual responsibilities
- Support area turnover coordination as required by project leadership
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience, or 14-17 years of relevant work experience
- Technical knowledge of construction engineering across a discipline or multi-discipline in an area
- Strong understanding of cost, scheduling, and contract administration
- Experience supervising and administering subcontractors
- Knowledge of project ES&H requirements and Bechtel Core Processes
- Familiarity with Bechtel's Zero Accidents safety program
- Ability to work flexible hours and perform field inspections in challenging conditions
