Overview As Sr Engineering Manager, lead the Network Engineering team within SNAAP, owning design, operation, and evolution of the enterprise network across 400+ locations. You will drive resilience, security, and high-availability while advancing automation and IaC practices. You will partner across store tech, fulfillment, cloud, and security teams to deliver scalable network solutions and manage incidents end-to-end with rigorous RCAs. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on engineering influence to enable business outcomes.

Responsibilities- Lead daily stand-ups and sprint planning across SD-WAN, cloud connectivity, wired/wireless, and data center fabric domains
- Review and approve architectural designs for network solutions (SD-WAN, AWS Cloud WAN, Juniper deployments, VXLAN fabric)
- Partner with store technology, fulfillment, and cloud teams to design network solutions for retail and distribution
- Own incident response for network-impacting events, directing engineers and delivering outcomes
- Conduct 1:1 coaching for team development and problem solving
- Collaborate with Cloud Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure to define network roadmap and modernization
- Participate in Change Advisory Board for production network changes across platforms
- Analyze network performance and costs to optimize routing, bandwidth, and egress while maintaining SLAs
- Contribute to network automation initiatives and IaC repositories to advance engineering maturity
- Lead post-incident reviews with rigorous RCAs and actionable remediation plans
- Engage beyond the network boundary to assist store systems, cloud workloads, and security platforms during degraded states
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond during major incidents
Key requirements- 10+ years hands-on network engineering in on-prem and cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP) before moving into management
- 3+ years in people management or technical team leadership
- Expertise in SD-WAN technologies and hands-on Versa Networks or similar platforms
- Strong cloud networking knowledge across AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI (Cloud WAN, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, VNet peering)
- Experience with Juniper EX/QFX, Mist AI wireless, or similar campus networking
- Experience with VXLAN/EVPN, BGP, OSPF, QoS, and multi-site enterprise routing
- Proven incident response ownership and rigorous RCA delivery
- Familiarity with network automation and IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python/NAPALM) and GitOps
- Observability/monitoring skills (New Relic, Datadog, Splunk); Juniper Marvis a plus
- Strong communication skills and vendor management experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
