Gateway Site Development Engineer (Starlink)

Overview

In this role you will design antenna sites and supporting hardware, travel to establish infrastructure plans with international partners, and own site rollout strategies to maximize Starlink performance. You'll collaborate across teams to align roadmaps, develop rapid deployment processes, and ensure system health. You'll operate in a fast-paced, global environment where your work directly expands internet access and Starlink's reach. This is a hands-on role with broad scope and meaningful impact on a global scale.

Responsibilities
  • Design antenna sites and site hardware to support, connect, and power the antennas worldwide
  • Travel abroad to create infrastructure development plans with international partners for antenna sites
  • Develop new processes and methods enabling rapid deployment of antennas
  • Engage cross-functionally to align technical roadmaps with business growth, regulatory, and network engineering teams
  • Review antenna site reliability over time to ensure robust system health
  • Demonstrate extreme ownership of product and business outcomes from concept to implementation
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or science discipline
  • 1+ years of professional engineering experience
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to ground station sites
  • Experience with electrical, mechanical, or structural design and analysis (preferred)
  • Experience with build, production, or integration of components into an assembly, structure, vehicle, or site (preferred)
  • Problem solving in complex, multidisciplinary environments
  • Cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong ownership and accountability
