Overview In this role you will design and optimize instrumentation and control systems for semiconductor facilities and advanced research environments. You will collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop P&IDs, size valves, specify instrumentation, and design panels, ensuring compliance with codes and industry standards. You'll gain hands-on experience and mentorship to deepen your expertise in process control, instrumentation, and automation. Responsibilities- Develop P&IDs and specify instrumentation for control systems
- Size valves and design instrumentation layouts
- Panel design and I/O assignments
- Document and model design information while ensuring compliance with building codes and standards
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to deliver complete facility solutions
- Contribute to projects powering semiconductor manufacturing and advanced research facilities
- Engage in hands-on work with mentorship to grow technical skills in process control and automation
Key requirements- At least 8 years of experience in designing Instrumentation and Control Systems
- Working knowledge of PLC, PAC, DDC, DCS systems
- Ability to work onsite (hybrid) in Latham, NY
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) (preferred)
