Overview As Category Manager, Polymer Packaging, you will shape and execute the NAM PET and Closures packaging strategy, leading category management and a 3-5 year sourcing plan. You will drive value, supplier performance, risk management, and innovation across the packaging base, while building capability and coaching a high-performing team. You'll collaborate across regions and functions to deliver long-term business objectives and continuous improvement. Responsibilities- Lead PET and Closures packaging category strategy and 3-5 year sourcing plan.
- Manage significant spend, drive cost, quality, and delivery improvements.
- Oversee category resources, headcount, and coach specialists in Closures.
- Collaborate with regions and internal functions to align procurement initiatives.
- Develop contracting frameworks, master templates, and best practices for projects.
- Lead sourcing, tendering, negotiation, and contract management for PET and Closures.
- Identify and qualify suppliers meeting quality, cost, and reliability standards.
- Manage procurement risks and ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
- Leverage market intelligence and resin/commodity understanding to guide negotiations.
- Foster continuous improvement, KPI tracking, and cross-functional performance culture.
Key requirements- Proven leadership in packaging procurement, especially PET and Closures.
