Overview As a lead drainage engineer, you will supervise design calculations, reports, and drawings for transportation projects while guiding a team to deliver on schedule. You'll collaborate with project managers and clients to solve complex drainage challenges and influence project outcomes. You'll develop conceptual and detailed drainage designs using OpenRoads Designer, Civil 3D, and related tools to support multi-discipline projects. This role combines technical leadership with mentorship to advance project goals and foster a high-performance team.

Responsibilities- Plan and distribute discipline-specific work and manage project schedule and budget
- Oversee completeness and accuracy of the team's technical work and mentor staff
- Coordinate technical aspects with clients and partners and collaborate across disciplines
- Recruit, develop, and retain staff; manage timecards and performance reviews
- Contribute to project pursuits, including proposals and presentations
- Develop scope of work and level of effort for drainage tasks; perform quality control on deliverables
- Prepare drainage-related designs, reports, plans, and construction documents
- Lead drainage tasks and provide leadership to project teams
- Support cross-discipline coordination on multi-discipline projects
- Assist marketing responsibilities and proposal generation
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience
- PhD in Engineering and 4 years of relevant experience
