Overview In this role you lead the data acquisition function to secure and optimize external data assets for Life Insurance and Healthcare. You'll steer a third-party data portfolio, partner with vertical leaders, and drive strategic partnerships and supplier negotiations. You'll enable cross-functional teams, communicate with senior leadership, and shape data-driven product differentiation and growth. The opportunity combines strategic leadership with hands-on governance of data lifecycles and vendor relationships.

Responsibilities- Set and execute the data acquisition strategy and operating model for the Life Insurance and Healthcare verticals
- Manage the portfolio of 3rd party data relationships, including contracts and opportunities
- Identify and prioritize new data opportunities to differentiate products and support sustainable growth
- Lead supplier negotiations and contract decisions balancing value, risk, and flexibility
- Oversee the full data lifecycle (due diligence, onboarding, governance, performance, renewals, issue resolution)
- Collaborate with product, legal, compliance, finance, technology, and leadership to align and accelerate decisions
- Develop business cases and executive guidance based on market insight and data analysis
- Anticipate risks/opportunities and continuously improve processes and ways of working
- Provide strategic direction for cross-functional teams ensuring sustainable business outcomes
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in business or risk management (preferred)
- Minimum 10 years related experience
- Established relationships in the healthcare data industry
- Experience supporting data-driven products in healthcare or life insurance (strongly preferred)
- Clear understanding of HIPAA and FCRA obligations
- Experience in business development and complex contract negotiations
- Proven success managing external data and vendor relationships
- Proven ability to work with multiple functional areas
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work in a dynamic environment
- Strong research, financial analysis, and business influence skills
