Overview As an MSL, you will engage with optometrists and ophthalmologists to share scientific evidence and educate on disease states and our products. You will act as the primary medical affairs contact for KOLs, ensuring compliant, insightful scientific exchange and supporting education across practice settings. You'll collect field insights to shape medical strategy and drive collaboration with cross-functional teams. This role combines field interaction, medical education, and strategic input to advance patient care in eye health.

Responsibilities- Manage KOLs (optometrists and ophthalmologists) in a designated region with compliant conduct
- Serve as the primary medical affairs contact for day-to-day needs and peer-based scientific exchange
- Gather and prioritize actionable field insights to inform medical strategy
- Provide whole-practice and disease state education to optometric and ophthalmic centers
- Support education in Optometry schools and Ophthalmology residency programs
- Instruct on investigator-initiated trials and medical information procedures as requested
- Identify and recommend KOLs for advisory boards, education, publications, trials, and other initiatives
- Plan KOL engagements and attend scientific sessions at various meeting levels
- Liaise with local/regional optometric and ophthalmic societies
- Present scientific evidence to payer community
- Provide leadership on medical affairs projects and initiatives
- Lead optimization of training, insights gathering, and field medical processes
- Host local disease state exchanges and labs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on KOL meetings and training
- Provide clinical trial support as needed and as directed by the clinical development team
- Manage territory budget, KOL mapping, and CRM entries
Key requirements- 3+ years in medical affairs MSL in eye care (preferred) or 3+ years clinical eyecare with industry experience or 7+ years clinical eyecare practice
- Doctorate in Optometry or MD, PharmD, or PhD with eye care expertise
- Strong emotional intelligence and presentation skills
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems
- Ability to collect actionable insights and analyze data
