Overview In this role you will lead tax compliance and advisory support for the firm's partners, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will mentor staff, conduct complex research, and clearly communicate tax concepts to partners. You'll manage client relationships across projects with minimal supervision, collaborating with teams while delivering results. Responsibilities- Prepare and review individual income tax compliance and related projections for partners
- Research complex tax issues to ensure partner compliance
- Explain tax concepts clearly to partners, verbally and in writing
- Manage partner client population with supervision, maintaining ongoing client touchpoints
- Lead and collaborate on multiple projects while meeting deadlines
- Uphold integrity, professionalism, and KPMG's respectful work environment
Key requirements- Minimum eight years of progressive experience reviewing federal and state individual tax returns
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; CPA or Enrolled Agent required
- Proficient with web-based document storage, income tax software, and Microsoft applications (Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong written and verbal communication and research skills
- Excellent client management skills and ability to explain complex tax matters to clients
- Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends during peak tax periods
