Water / Wastewater Senior Project Engineer - Pipelines, Pump Stations & Treatment

In this role you will lead and deliver municipal water and wastewater projects, collaborating with a cross-functional team to design, model, and manage construction efforts. You will mentor staff, manage project scope and scheduling, and help grow Dewberry's Water Services practice in the public sector. • Serve as project engineer on municipal water and wastewater projects across planning, design, and construction phases
• Potentially act as project manager on small to mid-size projects
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, drafters, and subconsultants to produce complete designs
• Mentor project staff and junior engineers
• Assist with planning, scheduling, coordination, supervision, and review of project team deliverables
• Perform data analysis, system modeling, and hydraulic calculations for facility sizing
• Conduct field activities to support design (site walks, verifications, site meetings)
• Prepare bid documents, reports, calculations, and design reviews
• Support permitting, easement, and regulatory documentation
• Contribute to winning and delivering work through effective team collaboration and client focus
• Develop statements of qualifications, proposals, and project execution plans
• Increase Dewberry's visibility in the public sector water business through professional involvement

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental or related Engineering
• Colorado Professional Engineer license
• Minimum 10 years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure design
• Experience in large diameter pipelines, pump stations, lift stations, water treatment facilities, or wastewater treatment facilities
• Proven track record delivering projects on time and within budget; strong client relationships
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with project planning, design, and construction phase services
