Overview

As Director Design Partner, you will oversee the Southeast portfolio of Collaborative Delivery projects, driving on-time, on-budget delivery with high quality and stakeholder satisfaction. You will lead cross-functional teams, manage complex municipal and private sector projects, and maintain/extand client relationships to support BC's design partner model. You will balance scope, schedule, budget, safety, and risk while pursuing revenue growth and client value. This role offers strategic influence in shaping collaborative delivery programs and project performance across markets.

Responsibilities
  • Set objectives, schedules, budgets and success factors for assignments
  • Coordinate scope development and align assumptions to avoid overruns
  • Develop and maintain project schedules and implement delay mitigation
  • Manage project budgets and ensure financial performance
  • Create and monitor quality, safety, and change management plans
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; monitor risk throughout lifecycle
  • Lead external resources and vendors to meet contracted scope
  • Monitor project performance against KPIs and ensure client/partner satisfaction
  • Provide mentorship and foster team development
  • Communicate progress to stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships
Key requirements
  • 15+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong ability to manage high-revenue, complex projects
  • Proven experience with project planning, risk/change management, contract management
  • Bachelor degree in project management, engineering, business administration, or equivalent
  • Project management certification required
  • DBIA certification or ability to obtain within 1 year; DBIA acceptable in lieu of PM certification
  • PE strongly preferred
  • Experience with collaborative delivery methods (PDB, FPDB, CMAR, EPC)
  • Strong client service and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and earned value analysis
