Overview In this role you will lead the development and standardization of PCBA manufacturing processes and inspection technologies to boost quality and efficiency. You will serve as an AOI expert, shaping inspection strategies and implementing advanced capabilities across global sites. You'll drive continuous improvement initiatives, evaluate new technologies, and establish global engineering standards. Responsibilities- Lead global PCBA process development to improve quality and performance across locations
- Serve as AOI technical subject matter expert for inspection strategies and programming
- Identify, evaluate, and implement new manufacturing technologies to reduce defects and costs
- Support NPI and manufacturing readiness with robust process controls
- Provide global technical leadership and cross-functional collaboration to share best practices
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field
- Minimum 2 years in manufacturing engineering in electronics or high-volume environments
- Experience programming, troubleshooting, or optimizing AOI systems
- Experience with AOI platforms (Koh Young, Omron, MIRTEC, Viscom, CyberOptics, etc.)
- Knowledge of SMT processes and associated inspection
- Experience with SPC and data analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP, Power BI)
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610, J-STD-001
- Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent
- Experience supporting NPI and process validation
