Overview

Regional Director leads RCM for 100+ CBO clients, driving best practices, performance metrics, and continuous improvement within a complex USPI network. You'll oversee directors, align policies with regulatory standards, and coordinate cross-functionally to optimize revenue capture and cash flow. This role focuses on transforming revenue cycle performance, policy development, and leadership cultivation to sustain high client and employee satisfaction. You will shape strategic initiatives from ideation to completion, delivering measurable improvements in billing, collections, and AR management.

Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-CBO revenue cycle initiatives from ideation through delivery, including timelines, resources, deliverables, outcomes, and transition plans
  • Drive improvements in key metrics such as timely/billing accuracy, high-volume collections, AR reduction, and cash application timeliness
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and work instructions aligned with legal requirements and company standards
  • Create internal reimbursement policies to optimize revenue capture for facilities
  • Oversee training, development, and performance management of A/R teams; ensure SOPs protect work integrity
  • Perform revenue cycle analysis and provide executive-level performance reporting (KPIs, goals, operational metrics)
  • Monitor managed care, third-party reimbursement, and AR management; anticipate regulatory changes
  • Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service strategies; address performance gaps
  • Collaborate with multi-department operations and physician leadership to resolve RC issues
  • Serve as interim revenue cycle leader for CBO if needed
  • Mentor Directors and Managers for growth and succession
  • Lead through influence to align leadership with RCM goals/strategy
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Key requirements
  • 5-8 years of RCM management experience in a large multi-specialty group, ASC, or outpatient hospital setting preferred
  • Proven leadership to develop and implement organizational strategies for ASC growth
  • Knowledge of Medicare regulatory standards
  • Ability to analyze data and build systems to control financial activity in a surgical center setting
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management and operational implementation skills
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Expert-level Excel skills for reporting and analysis
