Overview You will lead Foundations Engineering within Ad Platforms, driving reliable, scalable platform delivery and operational discipline. You'll oversee platform engineering, DevOps, cloud infrastructure, SRE, observability, and data/AI platform support to enable fast, safe software delivery. Collaborating with centralized platform teams, you'll raise reliability, developer experience, and efficiency at scale. Responsibilities- Lead platform engineering and DevOps capabilities powering software delivery across Ad Platforms, including CI/CD, Kubernetes, IaC, deployment automation, and cross-cloud integrations
- Drive automation-first practices, self-service tooling, and stable golden-path patterns to accelerate velocity and reduce toil
- Own operational layer for workloads on shared infrastructure, collaborating with centralized Platform Engineering
- Enforce secure-by-default standards across environments and delivery pipelines, including secrets management, governance, and compliance
- Create internal tooling and interfaces to support deployment, runtime management, and engineering productivity
- Establish and operate reliability practices (SLOs/SLIs, incident management, production readiness) for foundations services
- Lead observability efforts (logging, tracing, monitoring) and ensure consistent visibility into system health
- Manage database operations and data infrastructure across relational and cloud-native systems for transactional, analytics, and BI workloads
- Support AI agentic and real-time ML platforms (inference runtimes, GPU orchestration, governance)
- Execute FinOps and cost-management for multi-cloud infra and AI workloads
- Drive postmortems, operational reviews, and continuous improvement of delivery quality and platform health
- Lead and develop engineers and technical leads, shaping delivery culture and performance management
- Plan quarterly work and coordinate with AI, Product, Security, Data, and central Platform teams
Key requirements- 10+ years of software engineering experience with depth in platform engineering, cloud infra, DevOps, or related foundations
- Proven people management experience leading engineering teams in platform or infrastructure organizations
- Strong cloud infra and platform engineering expertise: AWS required with hands-on depth; Azure and GCP valued; Kubernetes, IaC, and production-scale CI/CD
- Reliability engineering experience: SRE, SLO/SLI design, incident management, production readiness
- Database engineering and operational data infra experience across relational and cloud-native databases
- Familiarity with AI infra and ML platform ops: inference runtimes, GPU orchestration
- FinOps and cost management discipline for cloud spend and capacity efficiency
- Strong cross-team collaboration and communication with stakeholders across AI, Product, Security, Data, and Finance
- Preferred: experience in online advertising tech, internal developer platforms, Databricks/Snowflake/Kafka, AI/ML runtime infra, real-time streaming systems
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
