Overview

In this role, you will lead contracting and network strategy for Oregon and Washington within Cambia's Market Growth Leadership Team, shaping value-based agreements and provider partnerships at scale. You will mentor and develop a high-performing team, drive large-scale changes, and partner with executive stakeholders to align contracting with company goals. Your work will advance an economically sustainable, person-focused healthcare system, leveraging innovative approaches and data-driven decision making. This is a strategic, impact-focused leadership position with a strong emphasis on collaboration and growth.

Responsibilities
  • Direct provider network and contracting activities across states and lines of business
  • Lead network strategy including access analysis and unit cost management
  • Oversee contracting coordination and negotiation with hospitals and provider groups
  • Provide executive leadership for negotiation strategy and operational execution
  • Evaluate opportunities to expand or adjust the network to meet company goals
  • Partner with cross-functional leaders to develop and execute long-range plans for network, contracting, quality, and cost
  • Ensure networks support affordability, coverage, marketability, and satisfaction goals
  • Champion best practices and innovative cost-sharing and performance-improvement initiatives
  • Develop metrics and reporting protocols to monitor results
  • Collaborate with Health Care Services and other leaders to create new products and services
Key requirements
  • Master's degree and 15 years of health care leadership experience with at least 7 years in payer settings
  • Proven track record converting providers from fee-for-service to value-based contracts across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid
  • Experience leading provider relationships with hospitals and integrated delivery systems
  • Strong business acumen in market dynamics, budgeting, data analysis, and decision-making
  • Ability to lead high-performing teams and develop leaders
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency and innovation
  • Excellent communication and consensus-building skills with executive partners
  • Ability to manage complex, large-scale change
  • Willingness to relocate or commute to Portland, Vancouver, or Renton areas
