Overview As an Applied Scientist on the Grocery Personalization team, you will create novel ML models and features that transform how customers discover and buy groceries. You will push LLM-based methods and transformer models to understand customer preferences and optimize real-time ranking at Amazon's scale. You'll collaborate across science, product, design, and engineering to move ideas from concept to launch. Responsibilities- Develop innovative models and features with large potential impact on the customer experience
- Apply LLM-based techniques to enhance the grocery shopping experience at scale
- Collaborate across science, product, design, and engineering to take ideas from prototype to production
- Drive the team's science roadmap and prioritize impactful research and experiments
- Build and maintain real-time ranking systems to personalize the shopping journey
- Help customers find relevant groceries and content throughout their journey
Key requirements- 3+ years building models for business applications
- Master's degree with 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience or PhD
- Programming experience in Java, C++, Python or related language
- Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or high-performance computing
