Overview In this role you drive the end-to-end delivery of metal additive manufacturing programs, from process development to production readiness. You will own cross-functional execution across engineering, operations, supply chain, software, and customers to scale AM capabilities. You contribute to factory buildouts and the broader mission of reindustrializing U.S. manufacturing. This is an ownership role focused on reliability, qualification, and delivering on strategic AM initiatives.

Responsibilities- Define and maintain program planning artifacts (WBS, IMS, risk registers, EVM)
- Lead process qualification efforts and establish production baselines with traceability
- Drive automation and subsystem integration across AM production cells (laser, powder handling, control systems)
- Establish and improve machine monitoring and reliability programs
- Serve as primary technical/programmatic interface for aerospace/defense customers with clear communications
- Coordinate across sales, supply chain, and engineering to resolve risks and protect delivery
- Manage CapEx budget for AM facility buildouts and coordinate with contractors
- Advocate for strategic investments in AM equipment, automation, and infrastructure
- Partner with sales on program shaping, BOE generation, and DFARS/ITAR-compliant delivery frameworks
Key requirements- 5+ years of technical program management in aerospace, defense, or advanced manufacturing with hardware-intensive programs
- Direct hands-on metal additive manufacturing experience (process development, equipment qualification, or production industrialization)
- Proven ability to take complex manufacturing systems from development to production-grade reliability
- Strong cross-functional coordination across engineering, operations, supply chain, and software
- Clear communication of status, risks, and decisions to senior technical and executive stakeholders
- Familiarity with NIAR qualification frameworks or AM process certification and audit readiness
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
