Overview In this role you drive the growth of Solect Energy's commercial solar construction by building and scaling a trusted network of electrical and mechanical contractors. You work across Pre-Construction, Construction, Safety, Legal, and Ops to ensure readiness, adherence to standards, and strong partner performance. You will shape how we source, onboard, and manage partners to enable scalable, high-quality solar deployments. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with a clear impact on project throughput and reliability.

Responsibilities- Develop and expand a qualified network of electrical and mechanical contractors for commercial solar construction
- Source, evaluate, and onboard new contractor partners, including managing agreements and onboarding requirements
- Serve as primary relationship owner for contractor engagement with regular communications and site visits
- Partner with Safety, Project Management, and Operations to align contractors with company standards and workflows
- Monitor contractor performance, collect leadership feedback, and drive continuous improvement
- Support program development by identifying process improvements and scaling construction capacity
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Pre-Construction, Construction, Logistics, Safety, Legal, leadership) to ensure program effectiveness
- Negotiate scopes, deliverables, and performance expectations with contractor partners
Key requirements- 10+ years in contractor management, solar construction operations, pre-construction planning, program management, or related fields
- Experience sourcing, vetting, onboarding, and managing strategic construction partners
- Experience in solar, electrical, mechanical, or commercial construction environments
- Strong business, financial, and operational acumen for scalable growth
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams)
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and build trust with contractor ownership and leadership teams
- Preferred: experience scaling contractor networks in a high-growth construction or renewable energy environment
