Overview In this role you will provide advanced accounting support and oversee finance, accounting, and office operations. You will manage program and grant accounting, subsidiary accounting, and complex journal entries to ensure GAAP compliance. You will support monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and audits, working closely with the CFO and Director of Accounting. This position offers a hybrid work setup and a pathway to influence financial strategy and reporting accuracy. You will contribute to cross-functional initiatives and maintain up-to-date accounting practices within the organization.

Responsibilities- Oversee program and grant accounting activities, including grant compliance, budget monitoring, drawdowns, and reporting.
- Manage subsidiary accounting, including intercompany transactions and consolidation, plus subsidiary financial statements and consolidated reporting.
- Review and approve reconciliations, journal entries, and schedules to ensure GAAP and policy compliance.
- Review and approve Accounts Payable in line with internal policies.
- Prepare complex journal entries and reconciliations for transactions such as loan loss reserves estimates.
- Assist CFO/Director with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, board and investor reporting.
- Research and evaluate accounting impact of new business activities and initiatives.
- Gather information for annual audits and assist external auditors.
- Maintain knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and procedures.
