Overview

Senior Data Engineering Manager leads multiple engineering teams to design and deliver scalable data platforms in a large enterprise. You'll steer technical designs, governance, and data standards to enable business insight and growth. This role partners with cross-functional colleagues to ensure data-driven solutions meet objectives and quality standards. You will guide governance, go-live readiness, and continuous improvement in a hybrid work setting. Responsibilities
  • Oversee system designs and data solution development, including data migration and extracts
  • Lead multiple engineering teams responsible for implementing the data platform
  • Maintain updates to Jira boards, documentation, data catalogs, and governance platform
  • Participate in design reviews and pre-deployment governance activities
  • Contribute to cross-application data standards and data-driven design
  • Monitor quality, traceability, and adherence to governance and quality plans
  • Coordinate go-live activities (QA, rehearsals, issue remediation, cutover) and post-go-live support
  • Engage in data management maturity assessments to identify gaps in quality, governance, analytics, and metadata
  • Drive continuous process improvement in data-related procedures and systems
  • Support budgeting, business cases, and quarterly planning
Key requirements
  • 10+ years of database development experience (Snowflake preferred)
  • 5 years of supervisory experience leading engineers/SW developers
  • Experience with MS Azure and cloud data architectures
  • Proficiency in ETL, system integration, and reporting environments (Power BI preferred)
  • Knowledge of data governance programs and data management practices
  • Budgeting, vendor management, and Agile/Lean software development experience
  • Experience with SaaS solutions such as Salesforce, ESRI, and Workforce (plus)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic, collaborative environment
