Fund Administration Closed-End Supervisor

Overview

In this role you lead the fund administration team to ensure compliant operations for closed-end funds and fund clients. You will serve as the primary regulatory contact, coordinate with service providers, and oversee financial reporting and audits. You drive process improvements and support growth initiatives within a collaborative, ethics-driven environment. This position offers meaningful impact through accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and client service excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a team handling fund compliance programs, regulatory filings, and financial statement preparation
  • Serve as primary client contact for regulatory and operational matters
  • Coordinate fund operations with service providers (advisors, custodians, transfer agents, fund accountants, attorneys, auditors)
  • Oversee creation and review of financial statements, shareholder reports, and SEC filings
  • Review client activity to identify issues and propose corrective actions
  • Manage fund expenses and provide reporting to Boards of Directors
  • Oversee audits with external auditors and liaise with them
  • Provide training and guidance on regulatory and procedural changes
  • Evaluate procedures and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance
  • Support growth initiatives including new clients or products
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
  • CPA certified or candidate
  • Eight or more years of experience in Mutual Fund Administration or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication with significant client interaction
  • Demonstrated experience managing and developing professional staff
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage complex, long-term projects
  • Advanced knowledge of legal, regulatory, and accounting principles affecting registered investment funds
  • Understanding of the Investment Company Act of 1940, Subchapter M of the Internal Revenue Code, and state securities regulations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard PC applications
