Overview In this Senior Civil Engineer role within HDR's Building Engineering Services group, you will lead site civil design for multiple markets, coordinating with a multidisciplinary team through planning, design, and construction. You'll develop drawings, specifications, and calculations, and review shop drawings to ensure high-quality, compliant solutions. You will guide a team of engineers and CAD professionals, contribute to a culture of employee ownership, and advance sustainable, resilient site infrastructure. This position supports HDR's mission to power progress and build a better world.
Responsibilities- Lead site civil design for Federal, Water/Wastewater, Municipal, and Industrial markets
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary design teams through project life cycle
- Develop construction drawings, specifications, and engineering calculations
- Review shop drawings during construction
- Lead a team of engineers and CAD professionals
- Manage and contribute to project engineering and project management activities
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- At least 10 years of design experience in civil/site design
- Project engineering and project management experience
- Ability to participate actively in an employee-owned culture
- Background check and US citizenship as required by contract
