Senior Industrial Project Architect

Overview

In this role, you will lead the design, documentation, and construction administration of diverse facilities, partnering with project managers to deliver high-quality projects. You'll steer multi-disciplinary teams through all phases, ensuring code compliance and design excellence. HDR's mission centers on resilient, sustainable solutions that benefit communities worldwide. Responsibilities
  • Lead planning, design, documentation, and construction administration for multiple building types
  • Lead owner/client and internal meetings and coordinate reviews for code compliance
  • Direct project teams to complete construction documents and milestone deliverables
  • Collaborate with Project Manager to manage scope and schedule
  • Produce detailed construction documents and coordinate multidisciplinary work
  • Coordinate with disciplines to resolve conflicts and perform QA/QC reviews
  • Prepare and edit architectural specifications
  • Coordinate changes via addenda, RFIs, CPRs, and change orders
  • Provide construction observation and contract administration as needed
  • Conduct project site work sessions with client representatives and other disciplines
  • Perform other duties as needed
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related field
  • Minimum 10 years experience
  • Registered Architect
  • Proficient in Autodesk Revit
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project Schedule)
  • Strong knowledge of codes and planning skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and layout architectural contract documents and specifications
  • Active participation in an employee-owned culture
  • US Citizenship required by client contracts
