Overview As a Tax Senior in Mazars' Private Client Services, you support sophisticated tax planning and compliance for high-net-worth individuals, closely held businesses, and families. You'll work within a national PCS Tax team to build wealth protection and alignment with clients' financial goals. You'll lead engagements, mentor staff, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver personalized service. Responsibilities- Prepare and review 1040, 709, 1041, 990-PF returns and related entity returns (1065/1120S) for family groups
- Collaborate on engagement tasks to meet goals, productivity, and utilization
- Review work of junior staff and follow up on open assignments
- Keep supervisor informed of engagement progress and issues
- Conduct tax research using platforms like RIA Checkpoint and BNA Bloomberg
- Communicate with IRS and state/local authorities on behalf of clients
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships within PCS
Key requirements- 3+ years of relevant tax experience in a CPA firm, professional services firm, tax consulting practice, or family office
- Bachelor in Accounting or related field
- CPA license or EA certification preferred
- Experience with family-owned businesses and wealth transfer issues
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of CCH Axcess, CCH Access Workflow (XCM), SurePrep, BNA Income Tax Planner preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication; strong analytical and organizational skills
