Overview As a Design Change Manager in GDSCM, you will oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of design changes across a large portfolio of in-flight projects, spanning multiple engineering disciplines. You partner with Design Engineering, Construction Management, Procurement, Finance, and Product teams to ensure changes are technically sound, funded, and executable. The role emphasizes rigorous feasibility analysis, cross-discipline coordination, and delivering compliant, scalable data center designs. You help drive standardization and continuous improvement within AWS global infrastructure.

Responsibilities- Evaluate complex design changes across electrical, mechanical, civil, structural, architectural, controls, plumbing, and fire protection systems
- Assess feasibility, constructability, and operational impact using technical calculations and drawings
- Manage a portfolio of in-flight design changes, including risk, schedule, and cost implications
- Coordinate technical reviews with principal engineers across disciplines
- Develop implementation plans and track execution from approval to deployment
- Present recommendations and business impact to senior leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to vet changes and identify standardization opportunities
- Identify process improvements and contribute to documentation and tooling enhancements
Key requirements- 5+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
- Experience with design concepts through exploration, development, and deployment or mass production
- Experience reading and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents
- Preferred: Professional Engineer License; regional building codes knowledge
