Overview As Director, Master Data and Systems, you will define and execute Lonza's global Master Data strategy to enable operational excellence and data-driven decision-making. You lead Master Data, Analytics, Governance, and Systems within Supply Chain, setting the vision, governance, and operating model to support growth and evolving customer needs. You will drive data-management transformation, close capability gaps, and deliver scalable solutions across the enterprise, including transitions to a standalone Shared Services setup. You will work closely with cross-functional leaders to ensure governance, continuity, and successful global data and system implementations.

Responsibilities- Define enterprise SAP Master Data structures, standards, and governance processes to align with business strategy and operations
- Develop and maintain data quality KPIs, dashboards, and reporting for governance compliance and performance
- Design and operationalize a standalone global Master Data and Service organization, including target operating model and service delivery framework
- Lead organizational change, workforce planning, and capability development to build a high-performing global team
- Manage transition activities from incumbent setups to standalone Shared Services, ensuring business continuity
- Establish Shared Service Center operating principles, SLAs, KPIs, and escalation mechanisms
- Oversee cutover readiness and transition to standalone company for Master Data, Analytics, Governance, SAP roles, and finance applications
- Ensure continuous improvement and compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Lead data governance, audit programs, and risk identification across processes and systems
- Build talent and culture of data-driven decision-making across the global team
Key requirements- 10+ years in Master Data Management, Data Governance, and Supply Chain
- Deep technical/functional experience with SAP Master Data structures and ERP implementations
- Proven ability to define data quality KPIs, change control processes, and reporting dashboards
- Analytical and leadership skills to manage large teams and project work
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Proactive mindset, self-starter, autonomous leadership
- Experience managing large global teams and external vendors/Shared Service Centers
