Overview As Managing Director in Slalom's Data & AI practice, you'll lead growth and client impact by modernizing data foundations and accelerating AI adoption. You'll partner with CIOs, technology leaders, and teams to shape strategy, solve complex problems, and deliver measurable value. The role blends business development, executive consulting, and technical leadership to build trusted relationships and high-performing teams. You'll drive transformation across data platforms, cloud, analytics, and AI, shaping solutions at scale.

Responsibilities- Grow revenue through strategic account development and complex pursuits
- Lead executive discovery sessions, workshops, and business case development
- Shape integrated transformation solutions with cross-capability collaboration
- Develop go-to-market offerings for Data Engineering & AI
- Advise on enterprise data strategy, modernization, analytics, and AI adoption
- Guide clients in AI readiness, governance, operating models, and scale implementations
- Design enterprise data and AI architectures for both executives and engineers
- Lead architecture workshops and ensure architectural integrity from strategy to delivery
- Shape solutions using Databricks, Snowflake, and related platforms
- Lead teams to build, mentor, and elevate high-performing professionals
- Represent Slalom as a thought leader in data, cloud, analytics, and AI
Key requirements- 15+ years in data, analytics, AI, or cloud transformation leadership
- Proven success growing consulting businesses, practices, or strategic accounts
- Experience influencing executives and leading large transformations
- Track record of building and mentoring teams
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Deep expertise in data engineering, data platforms, and cloud ecosystems
- Experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and modern architectures
- Strong understanding of lakehouse, governance, metadata, data quality, and modern practices
- Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, and cloud-native tech on AWS/Azure/GC
- Familiarity with ML, generative AI, LLMs, agents, RAG, and enterprise AI adoption
