Responsibilities- Lead and support complex packaging projects across innovation, commercialization, cost savings, and ESG within the central business unit
- Act as packaging lead across cross-functional teams to drive execution on multiple projects
- Design and execute tests, analyze data, document results, and translate findings into commercial opportunities
- Manage multiple projects concurrently and prioritize among various business initiatives
- Perform packaging testing, qualification, and commercialization in lab and production settings
- Translate research findings into actionable business opportunities and communicate to cross-functional teams
- Adapt and apply scientific principles to new packaging scenarios or products
- Create and update packaging specifications with attention to detail
- Collaborate effectively and apply innovative solutions in a team environment
- Ownership of packaging R&D timelines and action plans to ensure timely delivery
- Travel up to 30%
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related scientific field with at least 4 years (or Master's with 3 years, or PhD with 2+ years of experience)
- Strong knowledge of packaging materials, materials interaction, and packaging laboratory test methods
- Excellent communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead, coach and motivate others
- Proven track record of leading packaging innovation projects from concept to commercialization with ownership of results
- Understanding of end-to-end commercialization for new product launches
- Experience building and managing packaging R&D timelines and ensuring task execution
- Comfort with packaging specification systems, including documentation, updates, and data accuracy
