Overview In this strategic role you will lead the growth of Kennedy Jenks' water and wastewater practice across the United States. You will guide client relationships, cross-office collaboration, and project delivery to strengthen our market position. Expect to build high-performing teams, shape proposals, and partner with clients to pursue meaningful water and environmental solutions. This role combines business development with technical leadership to drive regional and national impact, supported by a hybrid work model.

Responsibilities- Drive business development to identify and win new client opportunities
- Expand services with municipal and industry clients leveraging local and national portfolios
- Lead and motivate teams to deliver exceptional client service on projects
- Oversee project management from planning through construction to ensure quality delivery
- Shape brand development and professional engagement to grow personal and company visibility
- Contribute to statewide strategic planning leveraging marketing and client relationships
- Collaborate to hire and develop staff for team success
- Oversee strategic project positioning, teaming, proposals, and client interviews
- Coordinate project scope, schedules, fee negotiations, staffing, and design/construction activities
- Travel to client sites and Kennedy Jenks offices as needed
- Contribute to project delivery goals as project engineer or team member
Key requirements- Local market expertise with strong technical knowledge in water, wastewater, pipeline, stormwater, environmental, and industrial consulting
- Proven entrepreneurial spirit with experience in business development, relationship-building, negotiation, and client service management
- Team-building ability and inclusive leadership for staff development
- Strong writing, editing, research, and verbal communication skills
- Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience
- BS or MS in Civil, Chemical, Environmental, or related engineering field; PE license required or ability to obtain immediately; Design-Build experience and DBIA certification are a plus
