Overview As a Legal professional in our equity finance group, you will advise on margin lending, equity repo, securities lending, and delta-one swaps to support our trading and financing desks. You will partner with Credit, Market Risk, and Operations to address legal, operational, and risk matters across the equity finance platform. Your work will shape documentation and compliance for financing and collateral arrangements in a fast-paced financial services environment. This role offers the chance to impact margin lending and derivative activities within a leading investment bank. You will work closely with internal clients to provide trusted, business-focused legal guidance.

Responsibilities- Provide legal support for equity sales and trading platform focusing on equity finance (margin lending, equity repo, securities lending, delta-one swaps)
- Support LP fund financing, full-recourse margin lending, equity repo, securities lending and delta-one equity swaps
- Guide on margin lending regulations, FINRA, Reg T, and Reg U compliance
- Guide on Dodd-Frank and rules for Security-Based Swaps and SBSDs
- Draft and negotiate credit/loan agreements and related fund financing and margin lending docs
- Draft and negotiate securities financing docs, including MRAs, MSLAs, and equity swap MCAs; maintain standard templates
- Collaborate with Credit, Market Risk, Collateral Management, Operations, and other stakeholders to address legal, operational and risk matters
Key requirements- JD from US law school
- Admission to NY State Bar
- 12-15+ years practicing law
- Strong margin lending, equity repo and delta-one experience
- Solid understanding of securities regulations including Dodd-Frank, Reg T, Reg U
- Ability to serve as a trusted business partner to internal clients
