Overview As MEP Manager II in Orlando, you drive the integrated mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scope for complex projects, coordinating with owners, architects, and subs contractors to ensure code compliance and on-time delivery. You lead constructability reviews, shop drawing QA, and occupancy readiness, shaping project outcomes in a fast paced, employee owned firm dedicated to safety, service, and integrity. You will leverage your technical leadership to resolve design and installation challenges and align with the project team on schedule and cost. Responsibilities- Evaluate design complexity and estimate construction and maintenance costs
- Ensure constructability and code compatibility of designs
- Lead meetings with owners, architects, and subcontractors; outline work, sequencing, and issues
- Ensure timely submission and review of mechanical/electrical shop drawings
- Coordinate MEP scope using overlays/CAD to avoid space problems
- Perform QA/QC checks for mechanical, electrical, plumbing installations
- Inspect life safety, fire sprinkler, and occupancy-related systems; liaise with city inspectors
- Review change proposals for cost and schedule impact; resolve technical issues with architects
- Review subcontractor pay requests for accuracy and timeliness
- Act as liaison among owners, architects, GC, and related disciplines
Key requirements- 8+ years of comparable MEP experience with a GC or mechanical contractor
- BS in construction management/science, engineering, or related field
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (may obtain within first year)
- Proficient in project management software
- Proficient in cost projection, scheduling, financial analysis, budget reviews, and labor reports
