Overview As Financial Planning Director, you partner with Financial Advisors to deliver tailored, advanced planning for high- and ultra-high-net-worth clients. You bring expertise across tax, estate, equity compensation, and charitable planning to elevate client engagement. You will coach Advisors, connect them to firm resources, and help drive planning adoption across the platform. This role blends strategic thought, technical planning, and cross-functional collaboration to support firm growth and client outcomes. You will work in a high-impact, tech-enabled environment that emphasizes complex, multigenerational wealth strategies.

Responsibilities- Co-create personalized financial plans with Advisors using MoneyGuidePro and Morgan Stanley planning tools
- Provide advanced guidance on tax-efficient portfolios, retirement income, executive compensation, charitable strategies, risk management, and estate planning
- Lead client-facing planning conversations and explain trade-offs and long-term implications
- Act as a planning subject matter expert and coach, integrating planning into wealth management workflows
- Support planning outcomes and track engagement metrics including net acquired assets
- Contribute to Advisor development through workshops, CE sessions, and peer mentoring
- Stay updated on tax, estate regulations, and market trends to ensure timely advice delivery
Key requirements- 5+ years of experience delivering financial plans or wealth strategies to high-net-worth clients
- CFP designation required
- Strong knowledge of tax and estate planning and insurance strategies
- Ability to collaborate with client-facing professionals and communicate concepts clearly
- Proficiency with planning platforms (Morgan Stanley proprietary tools, MoneyGuidePro, or equivalent)
- Series 7 and 66 preferred or must be obtained as a condition of employment
