Overview

In this role, you will join the Cross Asset Risk team to analyze investment risk, liquidity, leverage, and counterparty risk across MSIM funds. You will support regulatory initiatives and build out risk reporting together with IT. The position involves delivering insights to PMs, committees, and boards and developing enhanced risk tools. This is an opportunity to shape risk reporting in a global asset management context and work closely with multiple teams.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze investment risk for Money Market Funds and liquidity risk across public MSIM Funds
  • Perform derivatives and leverage risk analysis and counterparty risk assessment
  • Support regulatory initiatives and implement new risk projects
  • Manage data requests and respond to internal/external inquiries
  • Analyze counterparty risk and present findings to PMs, Committees, and Boards
  • Conduct liquidity analysis and stress testing on portfolios
  • Collaborate with IT to build/enhance risk and regulatory reporting
  • Monitor updates to regulatory requirements (SEC Rules 18f-4, 22e-4)
  • Identify changes in risk profiles and risk sources
  • Develop liquidity risk research, refine models, and create MMF risk reports for stakeholders
  • Automate and enhance risk monitoring reporting; produce risk committee and fund board reports
Key requirements
  • Bachelor in Business, Finance or Mathematics
  • Strong IT skills; SQL, Python or R; proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word
  • Aladdin and Bloomberg Terminal experience is a plus
  • Highly motivated self-starter; team player with cross-team collaboration
  • Interest in global financial markets; prior asset management experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Superior attention to detail; strong verbal and written communication
