Senior Specialist: IT Learning and Development

Overview

In this role you will lead technology learning and enablement programs to boost adoption of firm technologies across Mayer Brown offices. You'll blend learning strategy with adoption consulting, partnering with IT, business, and practice groups to align solutions with priorities like Microsoft 365, business apps, and GenAI tools. You will design engaging, scalable learning experiences that drive behavior change and measurable impact. A focus on governance, risk, and practical workflows ensures readiness and responsible AI adoption. This is a chance to shape technology readiness in a collaborative, client-focused firm.

Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver blended learning programs (instructor-led, virtual, digital) to accelerate technology adoption and role-based productivity
  • Create scalable enablement assets (microlearning, quick-reference guides, reusable courseware) for just-in-time delivery across levels
  • Develop role-based learning tracks and progressive pathways tailored by persona, practice group, and proficiency
  • Drive GenAI enablement by translating use cases and Copilot capabilities into practical learning resources
  • Apply learner engagement strategies (storytelling, gamification, behavioral nudging) to boost voluntary participation
  • Analyze LMS data, adoption metrics, and feedback to identify gaps and demonstrate impact
  • Conduct skills gap analyses to align learning with business outcomes beyond completion rates
  • Advise on training scope, delivery approach, and readiness planning for firm initiatives and technology projects
Key requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years designing and delivering technology learning programs, including 2+ years with digital/blended learning and AI components
  • Experience in a legal or professional services environment (preferred)
  • Strong communication across levels
  • Creativity and willingness to experiment with new formats and tech
  • Stakeholder relationship building and collaboration
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 tools for learning delivery and content management
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and GenAI tools with responsible use
  • Experience with legal tech: matter-centric document management (iManage), time recording, workflow management, e-signature, PDF tools
