Overview In this role you drive the technical management of programs, translating customer requirements into comprehensive system solutions. You will lead systems engineering activities, from requirements analysis to integration, verification, and supportability assessments, balancing technical, schedule, and cost constraints. You work closely with the PMO and engineering teams to plan, execute, and monitor engineering content on new product development and sustainment projects. This position offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration and end-to-end program delivery within a structured engineering environment.
Responsibilities- Develop and maintain engineering project plans for assigned programs
- Perform requirements management using DOORS
- Establish timelines and budgets, secure buy-in from management
- Design and oversee semi-complex systems-level architecture
- Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate engineering discipline representation
- Perform requirements analysis and allocations
- Identify bottlenecks and implement recovery plans
- Communicate task progress and escalate issues as needed
- Conduct project reviews and present status to senior management
- Create procedures for SE tasks and perform systems integration and support verification/validation
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent with at least 5 years of related project engineering management and systems engineering experience
- Working knowledge of systems engineering, electrical engineering, or mechanical engineering
- Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project; Visio for systems-level diagrams
- Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS or similar)
- PMP exposure or certification is a plus
