Responsibilities- Lead requirements gathering, scope definition, and technical design for data integration workflows aligned with business objectives
- Manage and mentor a cross-functional team of data engineers (onsite and offshore)
- Identify risks in data initiatives and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
- Coordinate development and support across globally distributed teams with clear communication
- Liaise between technical teams and business users to ensure data solutions meet needs
- Oversee multiple deliverables to ensure timely completion and alignment with priorities
- Design and implement process improvements to automate manual tasks and enhance scalability
- Build ETL/ELT pipelines and data infrastructure using Azure and Snowflake-based technologies
- Develop analytics tools to support product, growth, and operational metrics
- Provide ongoing support for data systems and integrations, ensuring reliability and performance
- Lead debugging and root-cause analysis with stakeholders during incidents
- Create data tooling that enables analytics and data science teams to innovate
- Support data architecture decisions to enable secure, reliable data delivery
Key requirements- BS in Information Technology (or equivalent)
- 3+ years leading a technical data team
- 7+ years of data engineering experience with Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, ADLS Gen 2, Databricks, Apache Spark, Synapse, SQL Server
- Proficiency with scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, Scala, Java, XML)
- Experience with Data Lake design using Microsoft Azure Data Lake Storage
- Knowledge of data lake reliability, security, and performance considerations
- Experience implementing ETL for Data Warehouse and BI solutions
- Ability to write modular, robust code and follow established ETL standards
- Knowledge of DevOps/CI-CD and Infrastructure as Code
- Experience in Agile environments and cross-functional collaboration
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proven track record delivering outcomes amid ambiguity
