Overview

In this role you lead architectural projects in healthcare, shaping design excellence within Stantec's global health practice. You collaborate with internal leaders and clients to grow the health portfolio and deliver award-winning, fiscally responsible projects. You champion integrated design and mentor others while expanding opportunities across North America. Responsibilities
  • Lead architectural design and delivery for major healthcare projects (avg. 80,000 sqft to 1M+ sqft)
  • Interface with North American architectural and engineering leaders to support the integrated design practice
  • Inspire local teams, represent healthcare design, and reinforce Stantec's global brand
  • Sustain and grow regional revenue, attracting top-tier clients and driving top-line growth
  • Collaborate with project leads to achieve financial metrics and improved health outcomes
  • Lead regional business development, including pre-positioning and strategic proposals across disciplines
  • Act as seller-doer to generate work and build long-term client value
  • Develop and maintain industry relationships with clients, sub-consultants, and potential recruits
  • Contribute to thought leadership and brand through knowledge sharing at client engagements and events
  • Mentor the next generation of designers and thought leaders, while receiving mentorship
Key requirements
  • Healthcare project delivery experience with leadership on major projects
  • Ability to lead diverse project teams across healthcare types and scales
  • Technical understanding of health facility architecture (functional programming, core and shell, fit out and interior design)
  • Experience with strategic pre-positioning and pursuit responses (EOIs, SOQs, RFPs)
  • Strong business development skills and client relationship management
  • Entrepreneurial orientation with understanding of consulting business development challenges
  • Excellent oral and written communication, organization, leadership, and team-building skills
  • Knowledge of market assessment techniques and ability to craft business plans
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture; licensed architect preferred
  • 15+ years in the AEC industry
  • ACHA and LEED AP credentials preferred
