Overview

As a Process Engineering Supervisor, you will guide a team to develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes for composite wind blades. You'll lead cross functional projects, optimize methods, and coordinate launches for new or revised products. Your work drives quality, safety, and efficiency across manufacturing operations. This role offers hands-on leadership, problem solving at scale, and a clear impact on plant performance and product outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and mentor junior process engineers and technicians
  • Lead cross-functional teams to resolve complex issues in the process domain
  • Create detailed process and equipment layouts
  • Coordinate launches of new/revised products with goals, timelines, budgets, and training
  • Collaborate with management, engineering, sales, planning, and design for production capabilities and tooling efficiency
  • Design and cost-justify tools, machinery, and equipment; source vendors and ensure quality and specifications
  • Apply statistical methods for safety, cost, quality, and efficiency improvements
  • Represent manufacturing on cross-functional teams
  • Ensure compliance with company and customer policies and regulations
  • Manage and develop subordinates, maintaining a motivated workforce
  • Maintain safe work environment and performance focus
Key requirements
  • B.S. degree in related engineering discipline
  • 5-10 years of related experience, including wind blade composite or other composites
  • Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing techniques
  • CAD/CAM proficiency; CNC machine programming
  • Experience with AutoCAD, ProE, Virtual Gibbs or similar programs
  • Machine tooling, design, molding
  • Project management skills; ability to handle multiple projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to work with vendors, customers and employees
  • Quality orientation and high attention to detail
  • Experience with high-performance teams and safety best practices
  • Problem analysis and resolution abilities
