Overview In this role you drive growth by establishing and leading a business development program. You will manage a sales team, build senior relationships with customers, and guide proposal processes to secure new business. You'll work with cross-functional leaders to align opportunities with company strategy and industry trends. This is a high-impact, fast-paced position at IQVIA that shapes how we expand our service lines and partnerships.
Responsibilities- Manage staff according to policy and law, including performance, development, and HR decisions
- Lead sales program to maximize growth and guide performance of sales staff
- Utilize industry networks to generate opportunities and support junior staff in relationship development
- Monitor Customer Account Plans and pipeline to ensure ongoing opportunities
- Collaborate with senior management to identify team members for proposal defense and participate in proposal meetings
- Conduct market research, strategic analysis, and presentations for IQVIA service lines
- Ensure sales team training to meet objectives
- Represent Sales Team to Senior Management with sales updates
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in business management
- 15 years relevant industry experience (CRO/Pharmaceutical) and/or sales experience with 10 years in management
- Proven track record developing mid- to high-level contacts
- Strategic business and industry awareness; ability to translate trends
- Solid understanding of commercialization and drug discovery development
- Adaptability to changing priorities; fast-paced work style
- Excellent MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel; presentation, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to influence, work independently and as a team
