Overview

As Regional Sales Manager for Tempus' Psychiatry division, you lead a regional team to exceed sales goals and expand strategic accounts. You partner with cross-functional teams to drive product adoption in academic medical centers, cancer centers, and health systems, translating complex genomic and clinical insights into value for providers. You will shape territory strategy, coach Account Executives, and manage performance, using data and Salesforce to guide decisions. This role offers impact at the intersection of mental health and precision medicine, with a focus on scalable regional growth.

Responsibilities
  • Lead regional sales team and achieve revenue targets
  • Recruit, hire, train, and develop Clinical Account Executives within the region
  • Manage regional business results, sales activities, and cross-functional initiatives
  • Plan and conduct regional sales meetings to share product knowledge and build skills
  • Evaluate performance of Clinical Account Executives
  • Maintain product and market knowledge
  • Identify opportunities with academic medical centers, large cancer centers, health systems, and key accounts
  • Oversee Salesforce usage to measure performance and pipeline progression
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to maximize outcomes
Key requirements
  • Experience in virtual and field selling environments
  • Proven success in recruiting, hiring, developing and retaining talent
  • Ability to prioritize and align organizational goals
  • Ability to develop cross-functional relationships to meet goals
  • Consultative selling skills to connect client needs with Tempus capabilities
  • Ability to work independently, communicate proactively, manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Strong listening and problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with high confidentiality
  • Demonstrated closing abilities
  • Positive attitude towards growth and change
  • Proficiency with G Suite & Microsoft Office; app-based products
  • Strong usage
  • Advanced presentation skills and business acumen
  • Demonstrate Tempus values of integrity, respect, and trust
  • Minimum 3+ years as a sales manager leading 8+ reps
  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
