Responsibilities- Develop a 12-36 month global category strategy for resins and NBR latex focused on cost savings (4-5%), resilience, and supplier relationships
- Expand and diversify the supplier base to mitigate risk and strengthen supply continuity
- Design and negotiate index-linked, transparent pricing frameworks tied to feedstocks
- Drive cost savings via tiered volume incentives and price ceilings; evaluate hedging strategies
- Monitor market trends and align inventory with production demand; provide executive-ready market insights and P&L impact
- Coordinate cross-functionally with R&D, Operations, Product Management, Finance, and Legal for governance and execution
- Advance sustainability by adopting bio-based and compliant NBR solutions
- Lead regional procurement teams and mentor suppliers for strong execution and engagement
- Build total cost models and should-cost analyses incorporating yield, scrap, freight, and quality to identify savings opportunities
- Communicate market dynamics, supplier performance, and risk posture to senior leadership
- Enforce supplier KPIs (quality, delivery, emissions, competitiveness) and maintain disciplined tracking systems
- Prepare concise, insight-rich updates for executives on market impacts and procurement-driven savings
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in related analytical field and 10+ years of global procurement experience
- 5+ years focused on resins, specialty chemicals, elastomers, or rubber/polymer raw materials
- Deep understanding of petrochemical value chains and commodity markets (propylene, butadiene, acrylonitrile, naphtha)
- Proven experience in a center-led hybrid procurement organization
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and e-procurement tools (Coupa, Ariba, Rosslyn)
- Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder influence skills
- Project management ability in a fast-paced, multi-project environment
- APICS/ISM certification is a plus
- Willingness to travel up to 10% and operate across time zones for global governance
