Overview In this Senior Manager role, you guide financial due diligence for private equity transactions, translating insights into actionable decisions. You work with cross-functional teams to assess risks, model outcomes, and support deal execution from diligence through integration planning. You will influence transaction strategy and value creation for clients in a fast-paced environment. This opportunity lets you shape major transactions and contribute to Deloitte's leadership in PE M&A services.
Responsibilities- Advise on financial, commercial, and technical accounting aspects of transactions (BC, consolidation, revenue, leases, intangibles, financial instruments)
- Identify and assess business, financial, accounting, and tax risks and opportunities in transactions
- Provide insights on historical and projected earnings, cash flow, contingencies, and internal controls
- Review financial models and transaction documents (stock purchase agreements, merger agreements, debt documents)
- Support transaction execution through deal structuring, integration/divestiture planning, and post-transaction activities
Key requirements- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- 8+ years of experience applying US GAAP
- 8+ years in investment management in industry or consulting serving investment clients
- Experience advising on technical accounting matters related to M&A
- Experience reviewing financial models and transaction documents (SPA, merger agreements, bank finance, debt offerings)
- Ability to travel 25%
