Overview In this role you lead beverage development and commercialization from concept to market readiness, owning Beyond Beer and nontraditional beverage platforms. You collaborate across R&D, QA, Regulatory, Operations, and Supply Chain to deliver compliant, scalable products. You shape formulation, process definitions, and documentation to enable smooth scale-up and launch. Responsibilities- Lead beverage development and commercialization projects from formulation refinement to launch readiness
- Own Beyond Beer and nontraditional beverage initiatives with cross-functional collaboration
- Source and qualify raw materials and flavors in partnership with Supply Chain for cost and suitability
- Maintain flavor/ingredient databases with accurate specifications and regulatory status
- Support nutrition labeling and regulatory documentation with QA and Compliance teams
- Collaborate with R&D analytical staff to define tests and apply results to decisions
- Define specifications, use parameters, and process requirements for pilot and production trials
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (TTB, FDA) and communicate technical risks to stakeholders
Key requirements- Bachelor's or Master's in a scientific discipline (Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Brewing/Fermentation Science, Microbiology, Biology, or related field)
- 7 years of product development experience in beverage commercialization, including scale-up and post-launch support
- Strong practical knowledge of TTB and FDA beverage regulations and nutrition labeling requirements
- Experience defining product and process specifications for manufacturing consistency and quality
- Proficiency with Genesis R&D, ESHA, or comparable formulation/nutrition labeling software
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects involving R&D, QA, Regulatory, Operations, and Supply Chain
- Working understanding of analytical testing approaches and collaboration with lab-oriented R&D staff
