Overview In this role you will support a premier Cybersecurity, Privacy & Data Protection practice, advising clients on complex data privacy and regulatory issues. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to address domestic and international privacy requirements, incident response, and governance programs. You'll help shape strategic privacy solutions for a variety of industries, leveraging cutting-edge regulatory developments. Responsibilities- Advise clients on privacy compliance, data governance, and data protection across industries
- Assist with regulatory compliance efforts involving U.S. and international privacy frameworks
- Conduct privacy and cybersecurity due diligence in corporate and commercial transactions
- Draft, review, and update privacy policies, data processing agreements, and related documentation
- Support cybersecurity preparedness, incident response, investigations, and risk management
- Monitor legal and regulatory developments and provide strategic guidance on emerging requirements
- Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas on complex regulatory, transactional, and advisory matters
Key requirements- 1-3 years of substantive privacy, cybersecurity, or data protection experience
- Experience advising clients on privacy compliance, data protection, and regulatory matters
- Familiarity with U.S. privacy laws and regulations, including state frameworks and federal requirements
- Exposure to international privacy and cross-border compliance considerations (preferred)
- Strong legal research, analytical, drafting, and communication skills
- Exceptional written communication with client-facing advisory experience
- Comparable law firm experience strongly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Active Bar admission in Washington, D.C. (or eligibility to waive into the D.C. Bar)
