Overview In this role you will lead a multidisciplinary mechanical team to deliver next-generation EUV light source subsystems for reticle inspection products. You'll own mechanical system architecture, drive design-for-manufacturability and reliability, and collaborate across Technology, Optics, Systems, and Manufacturing to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets. The work focuses on high-vacuum, high-power laser, precision motion, and thermal-mechanical integration in extreme environments. You help shape cutting-edge equipment that enables high-yield lithography at scale.

Responsibilities- Lead and develop a high-performing mechanical engineering team; set direction, priorities, and execution plans
- Own mechanical system architecture for EUV source subsystems (vacuum chambers, laser integration, beam delivery, precision motion, thermal management)
- Drive rigorous design reviews, including requirements, tolerance analysis, validation planning, and documentation quality
- Collaborate with Technology, Optics, Systems, Production Development, Machine Controls, Manufacturing, and Service to improve cost, performance, and reliability
- Lead root-cause analysis and implement design improvements to increase uptime
- Manage supplier technical engagement for precision parts and subassemblies (vendor selection, qualification, issue resolution)
- Embed safety-by-design into mechanical solutions and develop safety tooling and handling concepts
- Occasional domestic/international travel to support build/validation and customer-site readiness
Key requirements- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering (M.S. preferred)
- 10+ years of experience developing complex hardware/capital equipment
- 5+ years of people management experience leading engineers
- Expertise in multiple of: vacuum/UHV design, precision mechanisms, rotating machinery/air bearings, thermal-structural design, vibration/dynamics, contamination-aware mechanical design, and design-for-manufacturability/serviceability
